2004 -2005 PROJECTS

We have proposals for a number of projects awaiting funding.  These are: -

  • 2005 Cardiff Eyes   A project to collect 2005 personal accounts of what it is like to live in Cardiff today.

  • Community Archive  (Pirate Radio)  A project designed to examine change - the change in Cardiff since becoming the Capital of Wales.

  • 1000 Student Screening.  21st March, 2004
The public showing of the results of the 2004 Ysgol Haf/Summer School in Cinema 1, Chapter Arts Centre was the first experience of seeing mini-DVs in a professional area.
It proved to be a very impressive event and excited so much interest from students, parents, teachers and others in the media business in Cardiff that we have decided to widen the experience.

The 1000 Student Showing will allow 1000 Cardiff students to share in the experience of making and screening their own content on the big screen at Chapter. It is planned for Spring 2005. (more)

  • Celtic Film & TV Festival. Cardiff hosts the 2005 Celtic Film and TV Festival 6 - 9 April, 2005. CardiffSchools.Net will be there with students providing a 'real-time' news gathering service, Internet streaming and web site generation programme.

Our coverage will allow students to have 'hands-on' experience of DV cameras and professional editing equipment plus direct access to the 'great and the good' attending the festival.
