Your Video Format
Our preferred video format is Mini-DV Tape although VHS and
DVCam are also acceptable. Files can be submitted on CD-ROM or DVD in
uncompressed avi, mov or swf format. Other formats will be rejected. (Entries
can not be returned).
Videos and accompanying entry forms
should be sent, by 1st October, 2005, to:-

Rules - The small
print. BBC and cardiffschools.net (CSN).
1. You agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant
cardiffschools.net and the BBC a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licenseable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in the BBC's Privacy Policy. If you do not want to grant to the BBC the rights set out above, please do not submit your contribution.
2. CSN and the BBC reserves the right to refuse any entry for any reason at its absolute discretion.
3. No contributions will be returned and shall become the property of CSN and the BBC. It is therefore advisable for each contributor to retain a copy where appropriate.
4. Contributors must submit only their own original work and agree that this will not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third party.
5. Contributors must be the sole author(s) of the entry.
6. By submitting your contribution :
6.1 warrant that your contribution;
6.1.1 is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available to the BBC for all the purposes specified above;
6.1.2 is not defamatory; and
6.1.3 does not infringe any law; and
6.2 indemnify CSN and the BBC against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by
CSN and the BBC as a result of your breach of the above warranty; and
6.3 waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on
CSN and the BBC.
7. Acceptance of these rules is a condition of submitting a contribution and receipt of your contribution by
CSN amounts to acceptance of the rules.
8. CSN and the BBC shall not be obliged to make use of any contribution and shall not be liable for any loss of publicity or enhancement of reputation.
9. Contributions are made at the contributor's own expense and CSN and the BBC shall not be liable to reimburse any expenses incurred in making an entry (except where more specifically provided).
10. Contributions must not contain defamatory, obscene, unlawful or objectionable
material.
11. All contributors must be a teacher or a student at a school that is part of
cardiffschools.net. (Cardiff Council School).
